Service Update: Middle East Shipping Suspension & Global Delivery Delays

Edited

⚠️ Partial Resumption: FedEx Services

As of March 12, 2026, FedEx has resumed pickup and delivery services for most countries in the Middle East. However, please note the following:

  • Carrier Limitations: Japan Post and DHL services remain temporarily suspended in the region.

  • Transit Times: Shipments between Asia Pacific and the Middle East/Africa may still experience longer transit times due to regional contingency routing.

Middle East Shipping Suspension (Japan Post & DHL)

Due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East, standard shipping options (Japan Post/EMS/DHL) remain disabled for the following destinations to ensure packages do not become stuck in transit:

Affected Countries: United Arab Emirates, Israel, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Bahrain, Jordan, and Lebanon.

Impact on Surrounding Regions (Europe & Africa)

Flight cancellations and route disruptions are also causing severe cargo congestion for shipments transiting through or near the Middle East. You should expect significant delivery delays for the following areas:

  • Europe Region: Ireland, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Greece, Croatia, Georgia, Czech Republic, Norway, Hungary, Bulgaria, etc.

  • Africa Region: Algeria, Angola, Uganda, Ghana, Zambia, Sudan, Tanzania, Botswana, Mozambique, etc.

Important Information for Current Shipments

  • Potential Returns: Depending on how the situation evolves, some accepted mail items may need to be returned to the sender.

  • Package Retrieval: If your item has already been posted but has not yet cleared the International Mail Exchange Office, you may request a retrieval. Please note that a JPY 680 handling fee may apply.

  • Inbound Shipments: Please be aware that mail sent from these regions to Japan is also subject to delays.

We sincerely apologize for these disruptions and will re-enable shipping options as soon as normal service resumes.
