How Japan Rabbit Works
If you are new to Japan Rabbit, this guide explains the complete order process, from placing your request to final delivery.
Understanding each step will help you avoid delays and ensure a smooth experience.
Step 1: Submit Your Order Request
To get started, place your order using a direct product link from the Japanese store.
See how to place an order here: How to order
Once submitted:
Your order is reviewed within 1 to 2 business days
Payment is captured
The status changes to Processing
A team member purchases the item on your behalf
Please note that we are a proxy purchasing service. We cannot ship items directly from the seller to your address.
Step 2: Seller Ships to Our Warehouse
After purchase, the seller ships the item to our warehouse in Japan.
Shipping speed at this stage depends entirely on:
The seller’s handling time
Domestic shipping speed within Japan
Store policies and stock availability
We do not control this portion of the process.
Step 3: Item Marked as “Received”
When your item arrives at our warehouse:
The order status updates to Received
The item is checked in and stored under your account
You can monitor status updates at any time in your account dashboard.
For a detailed explanation of each package status, please review our guide: How do you handle packing?
Step 4: Submit a Service Request
Once your item is marked as Received, you must submit a service request before we can ship it.
Available service options include:
Package Preparation (Packing)
Consolidation of multiple items into one shipment
Transfer to Blackship, if applicable
We do not automatically prepare or ship items without a service request.
Step 5: Choose Shipping or Pickup
When your package shows as Ready to Ship, you must:
Select an available international shipping method
orSchedule warehouse pickup
Shipping costs are calculated based on package size, weight, and destination. This is only shown once it is Ready to Ship; we are unable to give estimates beforehand.
Important: We do not include DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping by default. For more information, please refer to our article: Do you offer DDP shipping?
Step 6: Shipment and Carrier Handling
Once you select and pay for shipping:
We dispatch the package
The carrier takes over the delivery process
Tracking information becomes available in your account (unless stated otherwise)
From this point forward, delivery timelines depend on the selected carrier and your country’s customs process.
Important Notes About Timeline
The total time from order submission to final delivery depends on several factors, including:
Seller's shipping time to our warehouse
Warehouse processing time
Peak season volume
International carrier transit time
Customs clearance in your destination country
Because these variables differ for every order, we cannot provide a guaranteed full delivery estimate.
Following these steps carefully will help ensure a smooth and efficient experience from purchase to delivery.
